Marine Plaza given go-ahead

A £100 million development has been approved by Southend Council. The Marine Plaza the Dizzyland site, opposite the Kursaal. Plans include hotel, casino, nightclub, business conference centre and other residential and leisure facilities. The development represents “a significant focal point of the Thames Gateway initiative”

    Any development of that waist area can only be a good thing. the 2 casinos we have, have not had a bad effect on southend so why be so negative.
