Hooters coming to Southend
US restaurant chain Hooters, known for cladding their waitresses in orange hotpants and low-cut tops, is coming to Southend.
Planning permission has been granted by the council for Hooters to open at the old MVC site, close to Sainsburys and the Odeon - there's a pic of the site here. Source

Er, the anti-Hooters petition actually Pete. Seems that you have underestimated your fellow townspeople. The people of Southend don't want this crap sold to them by a franchise that squeezes money out of the area without putting anything back. Balls to Hooters!
someones a prude! they don't walk round with their tits out for christ sake...they do have tops on (small yes granted) but even I'd go there and I'm a bird!
