This is a great site, We have had the benefit of it in Aus for some time, just to be able to type in an address and zoom in on a street, house, park, for instance my daughter just recently went to Hong Kong I asked her the name of her hotel and was able to see what it was like and where she was staying,believe me you southenders try it its great ps also liked your story about the snow as we dont get any in my part of the world well we do but I have to travel over four hundred miles to see it and to stay in the area at a motel or hotel costs an arm and a leg.

has anyone recognised the gentleman who saved the lives of the people involved in this fire ?
it is my opinion that mr john stanzuck who also lost his entire belongings in this fire should be awarded with some sort of medal
mr stanzuck is in my opinion one of the bravest men i know

Yeah, my son went to the same infants/Junior school as this boy. I often saw this lad 'playing up' when I was collecting mine. He had a poor reputation at the school as being a real handful which I witnessed on many occasion. His mother on the other hand, seemed very nice & was obviously out of her depth with him.

Nice to hear. I mean, that they will be blocking the mobile signals. Not just for the noise, but also for the safety of other passengers with pacemakers. It's just a shame to have to resort to such measures to enforce manners and common sense.

How awful! all those fumes and burning rubber. People should not stand around such a place, it can't be good to breathe in. I am so sorry for all those affected, and hope Tilly is found alive and well too. The boy who is to blame must be taught the severity of his actions. I feel sorry for his mother. Divorce can affect some children more than others, but then, troubled children often show signs, and then it's time to take action before something like this happens. But getting help with a boy of that age can be difficult too, and believe me, I know that they aren't so willing to help mums out when kids are not willing to go along. The results of the young boys actions are going to leave permanent damage to many. Fortunately, no one was killed. Many thanks to the emergency services and all those whom helped.

Rules are rules, like it or not, you can't break the road law. Nothing to worry about, if you aren't a speeder.
As for the council making money out of it……good for them, if it makes that much difference. And for speeders…..shame on them for putting the lives of others at risk.
There is no room for idiots. If people break the roadlaws, next they will get stricter, until people will have to renew licences more often, to prove they are intelligent enough to remember the rules.

Things come and things go. I have seen so many changes over the years, that a radio station change means nothing anymore. Tune in elsewhere if you don't like it. recent tech allows you to get hundreds, even thousands of channels of radio music to please anyone, and at a fraction of the cost it was in the beginning. keep up with the times, change is good.

I don't agree with the 50mph zone – cameras with a 70mph zone would have been enough I think. But your comment about accidents is plain wrong. When I used to travel back from Thurrock to Southend over a period of one and a half years in 2003/4, I was confronted with jammed roads courtesy of accidents at least three times on the A127.

what a pity, as one of the anonymous commentators has said it crap just like the rest of the local stations.they all go down this safe lasy form of radio,they must send the same box of records(downloads) round to each station and to me its an outright lie when they say if you want to hear the same records over and over again your tuned to the wrong station,they just mix them up in a different order the following week and throw the odd new one in

the council are just making money out of this all the years i have lived around this area i think i can count on my hand how many accidents there have been on the 127 try looking on the A12 instead of the A127 there are no houses in this area just fields i think the traffic has flowed quite easy through there without those cameras.
