Leigh-on-Sea Duck Race 2017 – Results & Video

The charity duck race in Old Leigh took place today, the 30th of July 2017. 1,400 rubber ducks were launched just before 1pm. It cost a pound to sponsor a duck for the race, with proceeds going to charity.

Due to prevailing winds, the ducks had to reverse the planned route, running from Billet Wharf to Bell Wharf.

Here’s a short video showing the final moments of the epic race!

The winning ducks are confirmed as: 776 , 1044 , 1300 and 786

The event was organised by The Lions of Leigh – Well done to all involved, and especially, the winning ducks!
